The local modular floating dock company is a key sponsor and attendee of the May boating event.
Dock Blocks of North America is sponsoring and attending the Annual Charleston Poker Run boating event, which runs from Thursday, May 19 to Sunday, May 22.
Hosted by the Marriott Hotel and Bristol Marina, both downtown on Lockwood Drive, the Poker Run is always a fun-filled weekend for boaters, featuring stops along the Charleston coast and competitive poker.
“To have Dock Blocks be a part of this exciting local event is a dream come true for us,” said Matt West, CEO of Dock Blocks. “Any event we can be a part of within our own community is very special. We hope to meet lots of passionate boaters like us!”
Proceeds from the event benefit Carolina Children’s Charity. The poker winner will receive a $2000 cash prize and 100 boats will participate. The poker run aspect of the weekend officially kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning and at 4 p.m. the final stop closes. The winner will be announced at 7 p.m. Friday and Sunday will feature more leisurely events for family and friends to enjoy.
